The city Linz serves as a training place and the center of my artistic creations. The actual starting point is my personal interest in the geographical development of the city. How does my personal used Linz look like and how big is this area? After a temporary recording of all my covered distances in and around Linz, a personal territory of 8,775 km2 arose through the concentration of paths in the official city area.
The intension of this work is to detect and keep hold of my habitual patterns and local preferences which resulted from the distances walked on a dayto day basis. Due to the temporarily recordings and the linking of individual weekdays with a specific color, I was able to visualize gaps, sectors which were undeveloped, as well as highlight temporal preferences. Alike a GPS-system I publish sensitive information. That information allows you to draw conclusions about the performer.
The recording captures the period from January 26th until December, 6th 2011.
Similar to the work in Linz, a personal territory survey was produced in Vienna and Washington. The recording in Vienna took place from January 26th until December, 12th 2011, in Washington from the 2nd until April 16th 2011.
